Dr. John Hunt, Board Chairman
Dr. Hunt has been married to Judith Kay (Moore) Hunt since 1958 (52 years and counting) and is the proud parent of four children and grandparent to thirteen grandchildren.
Dr. Hunt is a graduate of Purdue University with postgraduate degrees from Purdue University School of Veterinary Science and Medicine in 1967. Dr. Hunt has practiced veterinary medicine in Indiana, Kentucky, and Texas and is presently practicing equine medicine and small animal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Hunt has taught 9th and 10th grade science, math, and history at Grace Community School in Tyler, Texas from 1978-80.
He joined the Board of Directors of the Life Choices Care Center (then the Crisis Pregnancy Center) in 2003, was the Board Chairman from 2004-2006 and again from December 2009-present.
Dr. Hunt founded Pure Fun Life Conferences, Inc. – June 2006 and is presently the Board Chairman and CEO
Pastor Mark Wright, Board Member
Mark Wright is the founding pastor of Brandywine Community Church in Greenfield, IN. He and his wife, Kathy started the church in September of 1991. Since that time, the congregation has grown from a small group of twenty people to 1300 people in weekly attendance. Over fifty percent of the church members were unchurched before coming to Christ and being baptized at Brandywine. The church met in several rented facilities for the first fifteen years before moving onto their forty acre campus five years ago. Mark has served on the board of Life Choices Care Center since its early beginnings. Mark and Kathy have two children, a 21 year old daughter, Karman, and a seventeen your old son, Gabriel.
Kay Lithgow, Board Member
Kay has been a Board Member of the Life Choices Care Center, (former Pregnancy Care Center) since November of 2009. Kay is a graduate of Indiana State University and has a Masters Degree from Indiana University. She taught Special Education and Resource for 8 years and serves as an Elementary School teacher for the Greenfield Central School. Kay brings over 17 years of teaching experience.
Kay has been married to Darrel Lithgow for 17 years. They are the proud parents of 2 beautiful sons, Nate age 13 and Brent age 10. Kay has been a Christian since age 16 and is active in attendance at Park Chapel here in Greenfield.
Sarah Haag, Board Member
Sarah is a licensed elementary school teacher, and formerly taught special education at Eastern Hancock Elementary School. She has also been the children’s Ministry Director at Brown’s Chapel Wesleyan Church. Since then, Sarah has chosen to stay home to school her two daughters and run an in-home daycare. She is also very involved with her church, Post Road Christian Church, where she teaches a pre-school class and is the wedding coordinator. Before having her second child, Sarah was a peer counselor at Life Choices, and has now been a part of their Board of Directors for one year. Sarah is the wife of Dan Haag, the Band Director for Bishop Chatard High School.
Sandy Kingsbury, Board Member
Sandy brings years of experience as the founding Director for the Pregnancy Care Center. She has been and continues serving as a counselor at the Center and is a valuable resource. Sandy is involved with and counseling for New Life Biblical Counseling Ministry. She is currently working on NANC Certification in Biblical Counseling. Sandy is also involved in the Jail Ministry and very active in Bible Study. She is the wife of Lynn Kingsbury; married for 38 years. They are the proud parents of two grown children; Candi and Scott and two granddaughters, Lorelai age 4 and Janie age 3. They are expecting their third grandchild in December.
Vicki Smith, Board Member
Vicki and her husband Joseph Smith moved to Hancock County in December, 1972. They started their family and she was a stay-at-home mother for a few years until she returned to Ball State University to complete her education. Vicki graduated from Ball State University in 1982 and began working for Eli Lilly and Company in July of the same year. They lived in the Charlottesville area until 1986 when they moved with their children to Greenfield.
Vicki has been involved in church ministries in various capacities over the past thirty years. In recent years she has been co-leader of a women’s Bible study and has headed up the Guest Relations program at Park Chapel Christian Church where she and her husband are members. She and Joe are also active in their small group Bible study.
Vicki retired from Eli Lilly in December, 2009. In retirement she has been able to travel; one recent trip was a mission trip to Mombasa, Kenya. She has also been able to serve as a board member of the Life Choices Care Center. Family is a very important to Vicki; she and her husband have three grown children Brandon, Courtney, and Cary and six grandchildren. They spend a lot of time with immediate and extended family.
Susan Hall, Director
As the Director of the Life Choices Care Center, Susan comes to us with nearly twenty years of experience in business from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield as the Director of External Communications, Business Development, and Contract Management. Susan concurrently works as the Director of Love INC of Greater Hancock County’s Financial and Relational Ministry program. She has completed coursework and is currently working toward NANC Certification in Biblical Counseling. She is in leadership at Celebrate Recovery and co-leads a women’s 12-step recovery program. Susan is a graduate of Purdue.
Susan is the wife of Michael Hall, a local building contractor and owner of Hall Construction and Remodeling. Michael is also a leader at Celebrate Recovery and co-leads a men’s recovery group. They are the proud parents of four children and nine awesome grandchildren.
